TASMANIAN BUSHLAND RETREAT WITH A DIFFERENCE .... Comfortable, self contained cottages close to a coastal national park and white, sandy beach.
Eagles Rise, a family property in tranquil bushland, adjoins the Rocky Cape National Park and is not far from beautiful Sisters Beach. The four cottages offer an ideal location for a peaceful retreat, a family holiday, time away as a couple or on your own. Native animals and birds can be seen near the cottages and seats are placed amongst native gardens where guests can sit and listen to the birds. There is a walking trail up the hill to a small, A-frame chapel with views overlooking Sisters Beach and the sea. The beach is only 2 or 3 minutes away in the car or 10 minutes walk.
Eagles Rise Cottages: Banksia and Acacia Cottages have 3 bedrooms and are ideal for a larger family. Boronia and Casuarina Cottages each have 2 bedrooms. Banksia Cottage, the largest cottage, is suitable for groups of up to 20 to meet and dine together while staying in all four cottages.
A separate two story, A-frame house is available on an adjoining property and accommodates 6 people. It has three bedrooms, 2 with double beds and one with a queen bed. It is a unique property surrounded by gardens.
Other activities include hiking, swimming, fishing, wind-surfing, photography, boating, bird observing and nature study. It is an ideal base for sightseeing on the NW coast of Tasmania or just relaxing in the tranquil surroundings.
History of Eagles Rise: After working in Africa with orphans, needy families and vulnerable children, in 2010 Peter and Judy came home with a vision to make their beautiful, bushland property at Sisters Beach into a peaceful retreat where they could offer affordable accommodation, not only to those who are travelling and on holiday, but also to those in need of time out eg. singles, couples or families with special needs, small group retreats (up to 20 people), overseas missionaries on home leave, those recovering from illness etc. Reduced rates are offered to those with special needs and part of the income from Eagles Rise is sent back to Africa to support vulnerable children.
Payment for accommodation is by suggested donation (see RATES AND GALLERY). If you would like to read some reviews then go to 'Downloads' where there are exerts of reviews from guests who have stayed at Eagles Rise.
